About the Workshop - $120.00

1st Annual 3 Day Songwriting Retreat For songwriters of any level, this is an amazing opportunity to improve your craft while learning from professional and award-winning artists. You also get the chance to co-write with other aspiring songwriters and write a song together from scratch, with the help of your mentors. And to top it all off, you get the exciting opportunity to perform your freshly written song at the Spring Fling concert and dance that same evening held at the Jack Millikin Centre! Registration is very limited and only $120 and includes the following:  

 

FRIDAY MAY 2ND 6:30pm Supper included with workshop ticket ticket

Meet and greet mixer, complimentary dinner, and date with a demo (you can volunteer a song to get live feedback from our mentors), then open mic to end the night 

 

SATURDAY MAY 3RD - 

8:30am - Continental Breakfast included with workshop ticket 

9:00am Morning Panel with mentors discussing Songwriting 101 (song structure, styles, lyrics and melody ideas, inspiration etc) & Co-writing Etiquette (how to write with others) • Break into songwriting groups and write a song from scratch based off of 2 song title options 

12:00pm  Lunch included with workshop ticket 

Have songs finished by end of day with help from mentors who will be visiting each group throughout the day • Perform your song with your group at the Spring Fling Concert Saturday evening! 

 

SUNDAY MAY 4TH 

10:00am - Pancake breakfast included with workshop ticket
